Version one of the My-Happy-Hour Facebook application is finished!

The application provides much of the same functionality as this website, PLUS a user can have a profile box of all their favorite places to go and events to go to. This is good enough for version one, but we have many plans to expand the functionality of the application in conjunction with this website.

There is a slight hold-up before we submit the application to the directory and before we start inviting friends... we need more businesses and events listed! What good is the application without you? So please take a few moments to add some events to the list and we can get gong.

Business Testing Kickoff

It’s time to give the boot ("Das Boot" if you will) to the lonely development and start bringing some actual businesses into the mix. For the next month or so¸ we want to focus on getting some businesses signed up and actively using the site.

More importantly¸ we want to get feedback from businesses. If you’re a business¸ anything you can say would be much appreciated: bugs¸ suggestions¸ or pats on the back.

This testing is expected to last for about a month¸ but we’ll play it by ear depending on the feedback. Before doing any major marketing¸ we want to get businesses nation-wide signed up.

This service is FREE while we are in startup mode. To add your business¸ click "Add Your Business" at the bottom of the page. Enjoy!

Recurring Events

By far the most important feature added thusfar. You can now set your events to happen once, daily, weekly, or yearly. You can add an event by signing in and clicking "Events".

To make your event reoccur, change the "Frequency" of the event. Note that there is an end date to stop the event from reoccuring, which can be set right below the frequency.

Unique Map Icons

Every business now has the ability to personalize the icon that represents them on the Google map. By default, your icon will be represented by the type of business you are. The icon needs to be 32 pixels wide and tall, but all other aspects of the icon are up to you. Have fun with this feature.

News Feature
